Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? Physio-Wise has a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) to help you get the answer as quickly as possible.

What should I expect my recovery time to be?

All injuries and patients are different and so is the expected healing time. If at any time during your care you do not feel that you are responding as well as you expected, please discuss this with your physiotherapist.

Is my treatment covered by my health fund?

It depends on your treatment and heath cover. We work with private health funds, medicare and third parties such as Return To Work SA (RTWSA), Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), Department Veteran Affairs (DVA) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

If you are unsure whether your treatment is covered, please call us on (08) 8522 6611. We also have more information on our Health Cover page.

What if I miss an Appointment?

Your physiotherapist will discuss with you and decide on the best care plan for your injury. You will achieve the maximum and best outcome when you keep to this schedule.

Therefore, to receive the most out of your care and to save time we ask that you schedule your appointments in advance. Missed appointments will set you back in your recovery, so we ask that wherever possible you attend all of your appointments. If an appointment must be changed, 24 hours notice is appreciated.

Non-attendance of a scheduled consultation will be charged a non-attendance / cancellation fee of $30.00. This fee is not covered by compensable bodies and must be paid by you. This policy is to ensure your healing momentum continues and improvements are not lost.

What if I can't/don't pay?

We understand that sometimes you forget your Health Fund or Credit card and will not be able to pay at your appointment. If possible we ask that you come in later that day or if not possible then you come in within the next couple of days. If an account is outstanding for more than 7 days we will send a reminder invoice to you. If it is still not paid then an administration fee of $10.00 will be charged for each outstanding reminder account.
